The economic implications of obama's medicare plan are enormous. The costs of implementing and maintaing the health care policies will be disastrous for our struggling economy. In addition, the economical response to the health care will drive the prices of health insurance in the private sphere up tremendously. As a result, the "'legislation will fail to meet it's primary goal to enable greater access to health care while “bending the cost curve downward.'”
