In high school, I saw several video clips and a documentary that spoke about Wal-Mart’s discriminatory practices. They underpay women and pass them over for promotions on a regular basis. Their shady business practices have been brought into the national limelight before, and I certainly hope that the U.S. Supreme Court allows the mentioned class action suit to continue. It is frustrating to see such a prevalence of gender discrimination at this day in age, especially after extensive civil rights efforts. The women in this law-suit deserve the chance to pursue just compensation for the discrimination they faced during their employment at Wal-Mart.
