This article discusses the current 'don't ask, don't tell' policy in the military-- U.S. District Judge Phillips from California has ruled the policy unconstitutional on the basis of violating the First and Fifth Amendments. This ruling is a perfect opportunity for Congress to finally end the policy, as both the White House and the Pentagon have said that they are ready to eliminate gay and lesbian members of the military from not being able to serve openly.
